In a decision from 20th of February Bulgarian anti-corruption commission have found no conflict of interest for the Minister of Finance Vladislav Goranov in his decision to accept a favor from his godfather for free-of-charge use of an expensive dwelling -- ciaf.government.bg/pages/view/reshenija-chl-13-al-1-t-4-218 . The procedure was made at the Chief Prosecutor’s request after Mr. Sotir Tzatzarov had been asked in an evening talk show whether he knew that Goranov lives for free in such apartment and even has written the fact in his own public declaration of property. From the document published by the Anti-corruption body is clear that a hearing has been held with only Vladislav Goranov, without collection of further testimonies from the godfather or his wife, the factual owner of the apartment, or more in-depth investigation for influence over decisions and policies of the Finance Minister. The decision is made upon enlisted facts, according to so formed interpretation of legal definitions from Bulgarian legislation for terms as ‘conflict of interest’, ‘private interest’, ‘benefit’ etc. Godfather of Vladislav Goranov is known member of Masonic organization Ivan Sariev -- uglb.bg/?p=1344&fbclid=IwAR3MxkEFVBGhSX0VqFw_eRKTqVg_uDNDQsK5ewTUHxGVd6dBQ47-D2Q2oe8 -- who, regardless of media interest, has made no public statements on the issue so far
